Biographical notes:

Minnette Doderer has served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1964 to 1968 and 1981 to the present, and in the Iowa Senate from 1968 to 1978. Issues she has championed during her career in the legislature include prison reform, benefits for the elderly, and juvenile justice. Doderer has also been active in promoting women's issues such as comparable worth and the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment.
