Biographical notes:

In 1979, the Graduate School of Business at the University of Utah was selected by the Federal Small Business Administration to house and direct the Small Business Development Center for the state of Utah. The Small Business Development Center at the University was the head of a network of small business develpment subcenters at Brigham Young University, Utah State University, Weber State College, the College of Eastern Utah, Dixie College, Southern Utah State College, and Snow College. The mission of the Utah Small Business Development Center was to promote economic development by providing consultation, training, and coordination with business assistance resources to the small business community throughout the state.
