Gossett, Charles Clinton, 1888-1974.
Biographical notes:
Gossett was born in Ohio in 1888. He and his family moved to Canyon County, Idaho, in 1920, where they farmed. Gossett served in the Idaho legislature in 1933-1934. He was Lieutenant Governor in 1937-1939 and again in 1941-1943. He was elected Idaho's governor in 1944. When U. S. Senator John Thomas died in 1945, Gossett resigned as Governor in order to serve in the senate until 1947.
