Adina de Zavala was instrumental in saving the Alamo from destruction in the early twentieth century. She is the author of a book and several pamphlets about the Alamo.

Adina Emilia DeZavala was instrumental in preserving many of Texas' historical landmarks and documenting her family's experiences in the Republic of Texas. She was involved with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
