Mary Ellen Hunter Irvine (b. 1901) married Dr. Richard Wynn Irvine, the brother of noted designer Sadie Irvine (1887-1970). With Suzanne Ormond, Mary E. Irvine authored the book, Louisiana's art nouveau : the crafts of the Newcomb style. This collection includes material about others involved in the Newcomb group, such as Ellsworth Woodward and others, as well as results of genealogical research regarding the Hunter side of the family.
