Biographical notes:

Stanley "Stan" Reinholtz (1930-2010) was born in Madison, Wisconsin and graduated from Madison East High School in 1948.

He earned a B.A. in business administration from the University of Wisconsin before he was drafted into the Army in 1952 during the Korean War. Reinholtz attended Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance School (Indiana) and became one of only fifty budget and fiscal specialists in Japan during the war. He served at Camp Otsu, Japan from December 1953 until October 1954. Shortly after his homecoming, Reinholtz met his future wife; they were married a year later. He had a long career as a CPA, working first at Arthur Anderson in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) and later in Madison with White, Reinholtz, & Pfefferkorn. Reinholtz briefly retired from Ernst & Young but was convinced by local clients to keep working for Hought. Eventually, Reinholtz retired from RSM McGladrey due to health problems. His time in Japan lead to a lifelong appreciation for sake, Japanese food, and bonsai trees.
