Biographical notes:

Lord (Harvard, M.D. 1900) taught clinical medicine at the Harvard Medical School from 1909 to 1935, and was on the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital, 1903-1935. He was noted for his contributions to treatment of diseases of the chest, including research in influenza, tuberculosis, and pneumonia; and he was a pioneer user of antipneumococcus serum.
