Christensen, Leavitt 1915-2001
Biographical notes:
Leavitt Christensen went to Italy in 1962 as a civil servant with the United States Military. When the Italian Mission was created in 1966 he served as a counselor to the mission president, and served as mission president from 1969 to 1972.

The Italian Mission became the Italy Mission in 1970, and then the Italy South Mission in 1971.

Under President Christensen the mission experienced several name changes, from the Italian Mission to the Italy Mission to the Italy South Mission when it was divided in 1971. He presided over the mission from 1969 to 1972.
