Biographical notes:

Charles Trovilla Myers (b. Feb. 10, 1900, Mannington, W.V.-d. Sept. 27, 1976), U.S. Air Force officer, was commissioned in the Air Corps from West Point in 1923. He served in the Philippines (1929-1931). During World War II, he was first assistant chief of staff for training in the Army Air Force Central Flying Training Command, then commanding general, 77th Flying Training Wing; chief of staff, 12th Air Force; commanding general of Army Air Forces in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations; and commanding general, 33rd Flying Training Wing. After the War, he served as commanding general, 13th Air Force, and commander of Air Training Command. He retired in 1958.
