Cambridge Electron Accelerator.
Biographical notes:
The Cambridge Electron Accelerator was constructed and operated jointly by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and supported by the Atomic Energy Commission . It existed as a research facility from 1962 to ca. 1974. Pioneering research in the physics of high energy interactions of electrons and photons was carried out by teams composed of staff members and graduate students from the sponsoring institutions and other research centers. M. Stanley Livingston was director of the facility.
