Biographical notes:
Lucy Jane Gregory Marrow (1916-2006) was born in China where her father, Richard Henry Gregory (1876-1955), worked for the American Tobacco Company. Marrow returned to North Carolina with her mother, Harriet Arrington Gregory (1878-1960), to attend college.
