Rubbo family.
Biographical notes:
Antonio Datillo Rubbo (1870-1955) artist and teacher, studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Naples, arriving in Sydney in 1898. He taught at the School of the Royal Art Society and his own atelier. A founder of the Manly Art Gallery and Historical Collection in 1924. Rubbo donated many of his works to galleries and causes throughout Australia and New Zealand and is also represented in European galleries.
