Biographical notes:
John Happy Camp was a banker, member of the Oklahoma State Legislature, 1943-1962, director of the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce, chair of the Oklahoma Board of Public Affairs, 1967-1968, and member of the U.S. Congress. He represented Oklahoma's Sixth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, 1969-1974, and he was the ranking minority member of the Mines and Mining Subcommittee, 1973-1974. The congressman was a Republican.
