Biographical notes:
Born in Clermont County, Ohio, Amos Shinkle Abbott developed an interest in the genealogy of his family at the age of 40. Through advertisements, letters and personal contacts, he gathered information about the James Abbott, Jacob Jones and Courvoisier-Matthews families.
