Biographical notes:
Medical doctor. Arrived in WA in 1838 on the "Britomart". Leased "Woodlands" at York 1839-1842. Bought "Wexcombe" and "Ashby" in Swan district in 1842. In 1847, became Resident Magistrate of Swan District.
