Biographical notes:

Thomas Belasyse was appointed ambassador extraordinary to Venice in 1669. On his return to England in 1672 he was named a privy councillor. Fauconberg was awarded his earldom by William of Orange in 1689. He died without heirs on December 31, 1700.
