Mason, Isaac, b. 23 Nov. 1798, Cheshire, Berkshire County, Mass. After residing in the Genesee Valley, Orleans and Cattaraugus Counties, N.Y., he moved with his family to the Dr. John Beach farm, South Battle Creek, Mich. in May 1839. In 1843 he moved to the Hiram Moore farm in Climax Prairie, Kalamazoo County, Mich., and then spent 3 years in Charleston Township, Kalamazoo County. He was superintendent of the Kalamazoo County Farm, 1858-1870. He later moved to Galesburg, and remained there until his death, 29 Dec. 1885. Isaac Mason was married 4 times. His last wife was Mrs. Charlotte Thiers.
