Biographical notes:
Civic leader in Toledo who played leading roles in local and national organizations. Member of UNESCO, U.S. Department of Labor advisor, president of National Association of Colored Women's Clubs.
Also noted as the first African-American woman to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh's College of Pharmacy.
