Shreve, Julius H., b. 1845
Biographical notes:
Joe Emerson moved to Black Hawk, Colorado, before April 1884, and lived there until at least April 1885, though he planned to return home later that year. Julius H. Shreve, Emerson's cousin, was born in Bloomfield Township, Pennsylvania, on September 13, 1845, the son of Valentine Shreve and his wife, Jane Sophia Carroll. Shreve worked as a farmer and hay presser in Lincolnville, Pennsylvania, and later owned over 150 acres of land. He married Isadore Warner, and they had two children: Ned and Edith Blanche. Julius Shreve died on December 4, 1904.
