William Lowery was a Lieutenant in the 20th Alabama Infantry, serving as commander of the Bibb County Company. The regiment was organized at Montgomery 16 Sept. 1861 and served in East Tennessee, Kentucky, Vicksburg (Miss.), the Atlanta Campaign and Nashville (Tenn.).
