Biographical notes:
May Shearer of Lenoir, North Carolina, attended the North Carolina College for Women (now UNCG) from 1919-1923. Shearer was Class Treasurer her junior year, and Proctor, Community Budget Treasurer and in the House of Representatives her senior year. She was a member of the Y.W.C.A., Student Government Association and the Dikean Literary Society.
