Frederick Dellenbaugh, member of John Wesley Powell's second expedition down the Colorado River, author of Romance of the Colorado River and other books. In 1929, he was called to testify on the Colorado River's navigability in a case between the state of Utah and the Federal government concerning who owned the riverbed and its minerals. The case was decided in the government's favor.
