Biographical notes:
Charles Eastman was appointed captain of Company H of the Colorado National Guard and served in the Spanish American War.

Note the view of the building across the street at 1201 Pearl Street. It was the site of Streamer's Drug Store. Streamer's Drug Store at 1244 Pearl was replaced by the National State Bank. It moved to 1201 Pearl and in 1912 that building was replaced by the Mercantile Bank.
