Biographical notes:
The Ku Klux Klan was a major factor in the lives of Indianapolis citizens in the 1920s. The Klan's Indianapolis office opened in 1921 and by the summer of 1922, claimed a membership of 5,000. Its popularity declined with the conviction of Grand Dragon D.C. Stephenson for second degree murder in 1925.
