Biographical notes:
Stapleton (1919-2006) served with the Army Air Corps during World War II.
While at Pearl Harbor, he was a member of the 50th Reconnaissance Squadron and joined the 431st Bomb Squadron in the Pacific. During the Korean War, he served a year in the Air Inspector's Office in Kunsan (South Korea). He retired from the Air Force after 25 years and settled in Madison, Wisconsin.
