Biographical notes:

The organization, known as M3PEP, was incorporated in 1982 by Dow Corning Corp. to be a "partnership" between industry and educational institutions, to enhance the education of minorities and other disadvantaged children in schools in the areas of science, math, and English. M3PEP's goals were to assist in identifying such children; develop stimulating programs to encourage such children to pursue careers in technical disciplines; evaluate, recommend, and assist in developing appropriate curricula to prepare children for college technical and engineering programs; and provide information about technical career opportunities to schools, students, and their parents.
