Biographical notes:
Wright received his A.B. from Nebraska Wesleyan in 1930, his M.A. from Cincinnati in 1931, and his Ph.D. from Duke in 1934. He joined the faculty in 1947, reaching full Professor status in 1948. He retired in 1975.
