F. J. Haverfield

Biographical notes:

Francis John Haverfield (1860-1919) was a historian and archaeologist; he specialised in Roman epigraphy and Roman Britain. His works include The Romanization of Roman Britain (London, 1905), and Ancient Town Planning (Oxford, 1913); he also contributed to the Victoria County History series.
