The Lundstrom Furniture Company was established in 1901 by Andrew G. Lundstrom in co-partnership with Logan businessman John Spande. Others involved in the business with Lunstrom were: W.W. Maughn, vice president; John A. Carlson, secretary and treasurer; and J.N. Larson and Lehi Olson. The business was successful and made A.G. Lundstrom a prominent member of the Logan business community. He became involved in politics and served as the mayor of Logan during the years 1926-1940. The furniture company closed in 1984.

Around 1908, Lundstrom's opened a branch store in Preston, Idaho. This store was managed by Lundstrom's nephew, Carl Carlson. Carlson later bought the Preston store and it became the C.H. Carlson Furniture Company of Preston. The only records of the Preston branch found in this collection are one check register found in series IV, box 3, folder 1.
