Biographical notes:
Mrs Elaine Murdoch was born of Dutch parents, in Java in 1944. She was nine when her parents moved to Perth. Here, she later studied Music and English at the University of Western Australia. In 1963 she married John Murdoch, and after some years in Sydney, the couple moved to London in 1969.
