Biographical notes:

Ormond R. Bean (1885-1975) was an American architect and World War II veteran who was active in Portland, Or. politics, civic organizations, and city government from the 1930s to the 1960s. During World War II Bean served as the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Regional Director of Transportation in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Egypt. Bean was born in Eugene, Or. to U.S. District Court Judge Robert Sharp Bean and Ina Condon.
