Reimers, Henry L.
Biographical notes:
Henry L. Reimers (1904- ) was born in his Spokane, WA home, which was located on the site of the current Ferris high School. Reimers attended various schools in the area: Moran, Adams, Indian Prairie, Deep Creek High School, Philomath College in Oregon, and Cheney Normal. After obtaining his teaching credentials, Reimers taught at Indian Prairie (also known as Ardenvoir) and at Entiat in Entiat Valley, WA. He worked as a teacher/principal at Waitsburg, WA (Sept 10, 1943), taught 12 years at Blair College, and was in charge of education for two years at Eastern Washington State Hospital prior to his retirement. Henry Reimers' family was well acquainted with Chief Spokane Garry and Reimers took an interest in Northwest history at an early age. Reimers wrote extensively regarding Indians and pioneer life in the Pacific Northwest.
