Miracle, Ralph, 1904-1983
Biographical notes:
Ralph Miracle was born in Helena, Montana, on December 6, 1904, the son of Frank D. and Lillian Miracle. Frank Miracle was an attorney and partner in the Miracle-VanCleve Company, at Canyon Creek northwest of Helena. Ralph studied at Harvard Military School in Los Angeles, and Dartmouth College, graduating about 1926. For the next 20 years he operated several ranches in Lewis and Clark and Cascade Counties. In 1946 he became head of the Montana Livestock Commission and Recorder of Marks and Brands. In 1954 he became Secretary of the Montana Stockgrowers Association. In 1969 he retired to Santa Barbara, California, where he died on October 5, 1983.

During the 1960s and 1970s he was secretary of the Montana Stockgrowers Association. He was also an amateur historian on topics relating to ranching. He died in Santa Barbara, California, on October 5, 1983.
