Biographical notes:

The Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana is a conglomerate of various Jewish federations from Hammond, Gary, and East Chicago. The organization is located in Munster, Indiana and serves Lake and Porter Counties. Scholarships, a food pantry, and services for youth and the elderly are some of its many programs. The "Illiana News" is a monthly publication of the organization. Trent D. Pendley, President of the Indiana Jewish Historical Society edited and wrote for the publication.
