Biographical notes:

Hamish Brisbane Cameron was born on the 27th of April 1926, the son of James Cameron, a bank clerk. Hamish was a science student at the University of Glasgow from around 1943. He took classes in Chemistry, Mathematics, Natural Philosophy, Botany, Advanced Organic Chemistry, Advanced Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. He graduated BSc in 1946.

Jane Chrichton Currie was born on the 9th of May 1925, the daughter of James Currie, a bank agent. Jane was an arts student at the University of Glasgow from 1943-1945. In her first year she took classes in French, German and History. In her second year she studied Higher French, Higher German and Ordinary History.
