Biographical notes:
Onetime school teacher who, according to letter, [pmk. 5 Aug. 1935], taught for four years following graduation from college before going to work in the summer of 1934 as an auditor. Caughman traveled South Carolina as an employee of the Commercial Audit Company, headquartered at 100 National Loan & Exchange Building, in Columbia, S.C.
