Whaling vessel, out of New Bedford, Mass., mastered by Charles S. Pope, on voyage 17 Oct. 1853-5 July 1857 to the Line, Bering Sea, Coast of Kamchatka, Okhotsk Sea, South China Sea; Hawaii, Japan Sea, Vasquez, and French Rock whaling grounds; owner-agent: G. & M. Howland; built at Philadelphia, Pa., 1801; rerigged from ship to bark in 1863; broken up at New Bedford, 1891.
