The Theatre Royal in Hull, England, was one of the most successful provincial theatres of the 19th century. The Hull opened in 1768, moved to new premises in 1810, and was burned and reopened several times over the next century. During their golden age, the Theatre Royal in Hull was part of the York Circuit, and showcased many of the best actors and productions. The 1825-1826 season was under the management of Downe & Faulkner, who arranged for the productions and starred in many of the plays.
