Biographical notes:

The International Organization of Women Pilots or "99s" was founded in 1929 for the mutual support of women aviators and the advancement of aviation. The Lubbock chapter was formed in 1972, initially, with eleven members among whom were housewives, businesswomen, teachers and nurses. Their principal goal is to encourage members to remain proficient in flying and acquire advanced ratings.
