Samuel M. Gordon, United States soldier, was a member of Company H, 25th Ohio Infantry Regiment, during the Civil War. He lived at Senacaville, Guernsey County, Ohio. It is believed he died about 1862, in a Confederate prison. He enlisted in 1861, and spent most of that autumn on Cheat Mountain, West Virginia, where he fought in the Battle of Cheat Mountain Summit.
