Biographical notes:

Roy E. Bazire began his Florida conservation work in 1959 as president of the Sanibel-Captiva Audubon Society. He helped establish and direct a number of other citizen's conservation efforts, including the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) and the Environmental Confederation of South West Florida (ECOSWF).
