Biographical notes:

Brewster and Ingrahams, clock and watch makers, of Bristol, Conn., organized in 1844; in 1852 name changed to E. & A. Ingraham; in 1861 became E. Ingraham and Company; in 1884 renamed E. Ingraham Co.; in 1958 name changed to Ingraham Company; and in 1967 sold to McGraw-Edison and Company and reorganized as Ingraham Industries; due to a factory fire, the company was located temporarily in Ansonia, Conn., 1855-1857.
