Biographical notes:
Materials collected by Helen Blair Lamar and subsequently donated to the Blair Society for Genealogical Research and pertaining to the Austin Blair family of Michigan and related family lines, the Hanks family and the North family. Austin Blair was governor of Michigan during the Civil War. One of his sons, Charles A. Blair, was justice of the Michigan Supreme Court and regent of the University of Michigan.
