Fitt, Harriett Bradley, b.1892.

Harriett Bradley was born at Fort Omaha, Nebraska, on October 2, 1892, the daughter of Alfred E. Bradley and Letitia Follett Bradley. Colonel Alfred E. Bradley was a medical officer in the U.S. Army, and was stationed at various forts throughout the West. In 1894 the family moved to Fort Custer, Montana, and eight months later to Fort Yellowstone, Wyoming. At the outbreak of the Spanish American War, Bradley was sent to Cuba. For ten months the family lived on a hospital ship, at Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. They returned to the United States in 1899, and were stationed at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. They returned to the Philippines in 1902 and stayed there three years. They then were assigned to Fort Sheridan in Illinois, where Harriett completed her education at Hosmer Hall, a boarding school for girls.

In 1918, Harriett married Frank Fitt, a Presbyterian minister. The couple had two children Mary Bradley Fitt and Alfred Bradley Fitt. Harriett Bradley Fitt died in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on December 7, 1980.
