Roby, Myrtle Scott Hamilton, 1899-1929
Myrtle Scott Hamilton was born near Granite, Md., daughter of David Eugene and Jennie Hamilton; lost both parents by age 9 and when 12 years old, went to live with an aunt in Portland, Me., where she attended Portland High School, graduating in 1917; afterwards moved to Washington, D.C., and in 1920 married Guy M. Roby.
