Laughlin, Charles Vaill, 1907-1985.
Legal educator and legal historian. Taught most of his career at Washington and Lee University School of Law. Served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps during World War II; reservist until 1960. Served as a U.S. Commissioner and then Magistrate, 1962-1974. U.S. Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service arbitrator, 1973-1981.
