Wisconsin. Radioactive Waste Review Board
The Radioactive Waste Review Board was created by the Wisconsin Legislature in 1981 (Wis. Stats. 15.915(4) and 36.50) in response to the U.S. Dept. of Energy's activities in granite states. The board was responsible for representing the State of Wisconsin in all activities with the Dept. of Energy and it was authorized to enter into written agreements covering siting activities. It was abolished in 1996 and its responsibilities were assumed by the Division of Energy and Intergovernmental Relations (WIHV87-A273) in the state Dept. of Administration.
