Rosenberg, Ethel, 1915-1953
Ethel Rosenberg, also known as Eth Clifford and Ruth Bonn Penn, produces a lengthy list of successful compositions for both the adult and child. Amassing over eighty books to her repertoire, Rosenberg unassumingly tacks on humor as her signature flare and tackles serious themes with poise and wit. She has been supported by the New York Times and the Saturday Review as an award-claiming author, with success-stories such as Year of the Three-Legged Deer, The Killer Swan and The Remembering Box. Rosenberg writes, "Words are the bridges to communication. Words on the page say: listen, I've been thinking and I want to share my thoughts with you. Perhaps you've had these same thoughts (and feelings) but haven't been able to express them. But when you read these words, you can say to yourself--that's it. She got it exactly right.".
