Kendrick, John, approximately 1740-1794
John Kendrick was the original commander of the 1787 expedition of the Columbia and the Washington to the Pacific Northwest and China. Kendrick was killed at Oahu by an accidental shot from a British ship entering harbor on December 12, 1794.
