Sawyer, Malcolm C.
Missionary; born April 24, 1919; converted, 1930; educated at Nyack Missionary Institute; served in China near the Tibetan border as missionarywith Christian & Missionary Alliance, 1947-1949; studied French in Saigon and Dalat, Vietnam, 1950; worked in Laos planting churches and starting a Bible school, 1950-1975; after communist takeover of Vietnam, worked with refugees in Thailand, 1976; continued work among refugees in Hong Kong, 1976-1981; upon returning to the United States, served in refugee ministry among the Hmong and Laotian refugees in Illinois and Indiana regions. Helen L. Irvin was born in 1923; married Malcolm Sawyer, 1943; the Sawyers had four daughters.
